How Tower Garden Works

A simple, beginner-friendly way to grow fresh food at home — even if you’ve never gardened before.

Your Tower Garden arrives with everything needed to get started. Follow the included step-by-step startup guide to set it up in about 30 minutes. Once your seedlings are placed in the tower, the system delivers water and nutrients directly to plant roots, helping greens and herbs grow quickly with very little maintenance.

Tower Garden Mineral Blend

Fill the reservoir with water and add the included mineral blend, formulated for aeroponic growing. This nutrient solution supports healthy plants from root to leaf.

The nutrient solution is pumped to the top of the tower and gently distributed over the roots of each plant. This cycle runs on a timer throughout the day, delivering water and nutrients at regular intervals so plants receive exactly what they need to grow quickly and efficiently.

Harvest Fresh Greens in Just a Few Weeks

Once your seedlings begin growing, leafy greens can be ready to harvest in just a few weeks. Checking the water level and pH occasionally helps keep the system running smoothly while your plants continue to grow.

What to Grow with Tower Garden

Grow a variety of greens, herbs, vegetables, and fruits for fresh meals:

  • Greens: Lettuce, kale, spinach, arugula, chard for nutrient-dense salads.

  • Herbs: Basil, parsley, cilantro, mint, dill to enhance your dishes.

  • Vegetables: Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, zucchini for fresh meals.

  • Fruits: Strawberries and watermelon for sweet, homegrown treats.

  • Plan Ahead for Success

These tips will help you get the most from your tower:

  • Choosing a Location That Works for Your Space: Pick a level location near water and power. For outdoor growing, choose a spot that receives several hours of natural sunlight. For indoor growing, plan space for grow lights (sold separately).

  • Deciding on Indoor, Outdoor, or Both: Use FLEX if you want the flexibility to grow both indoors and outdoors, or HOME for dedicated indoor growing of greens and herbs.

  • Choosing Easy, Beginner-Friendly Plants: Select favorites like lettuce, kale, and herbs—ideal for beginners.

  • Where Different Plants Tend to Grow Best: Place small plants (lettuce, herbs, strawberries) at the top, medium plants (peppers, kale, beans) in the middle, and up to four large plants (tomatoes, cucumbers) at the bottom with a support cage.
