One of the most common questions I receive is, "How much does a Tower Garden actually cost?" The answer depends on which model you choose and whether you're planning to grow indoors or outdoors.
Both models include nearly everything you need to get started. If you're planning to grow indoors, you'll also need the LED Grow Light System. The breakdown below shows typical retail pricing and what you can expect for each setup.

While the Tower Garden HOME can be used outdoors, it was designed primarily as an indoor growing system and is ideal for growing leafy greens, herbs, and other compact crops year-round.

Good to Know
Indoor Growing
If you're growing indoors, you'll also need the LED Grow Light System. Grow lights are sold separately for both the Tower Garden HOME and Tower Garden FLEX.
Starting Your Own Seedlings
If you plan to start your own seedlings indoors, you'll also need a grow light for your seedlings. The Tower Garden Germinator is one option that includes both a grow light and a heating pad, but any suitable seed-starting grow light can also be used.
Optional Accessories to Grow With You
Your Tower Garden includes everything you need to start growing. As your gardening experience grows, you may decide to add a few optional accessories that provide added convenience or expand your growing options.
Germinator
The Tower Garden Germinator is a tabletop seed-starting system for growing seedlings indoors before transplanting them into your Tower Garden. It includes both a grow light and a heating pad to help produce strong, healthy seedlings.
It's the system I personally use, and I've found it to be an easy and reliable way to start seedlings indoors.
Dolly (Tower Garden FLEX)
A dolly makes it easier to move your Tower Garden FLEX for cleaning, maintenance, or seasonal changes. It's especially helpful if you plan to move your tower between indoor and outdoor locations.
The Tower Garden HOME already includes a built-in dolly base, so a separate dolly isn't needed.
Support Cage
A support cage provides additional support for taller or heavier crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and some peppers. It isn't needed for leafy greens, herbs, strawberries, or many compact vegetables.
Extension Kits
Extension kits let you expand your growing capacity over time. While many home gardeners find the standard tower provides plenty of space, extension kits are available if you'd like to grow even more.
Current options include:

- Baby Greens Extension (32 baby greens ports)
- Combination Extension (4 large ports + 18 baby greens ports)
The Tower Garden FLEX can accommodate up to three extension kits, allowing the tower to expand to a total of 11 growing sections.
For the Tower Garden HOME used with grow lights, Tower Garden recommends adding no more than one extension kit.
